Maintenance/Repair Machinist - Sawmill

Intermediate / Senior Process Engineer
The role of the Process Engineer is to perform process design and simulations for gas processing equipment.
  • Ensuring the completion of accurate and competitive bids.
  • Ensuring engineering is done with accuracy and to high standards.
  • Duties:
  • Process design of units (simulation, equipment sizing, etc).
  • Trouble shooting existing plants.
  • Assist and advise other engineers / technologists.
  • Client communications and meetings, as required.
  • Detailed process design.
  • PFD and P&ID generation.

Position Summary :


The role of the Instrumentation and Controls System Engineer or Technologist is to design and implement instrumentation and control systems to facilitate engineered and fabricated oil and gas production equipment.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design and implement field instrumentation and plant control systems.
  • Involved in extensive inter-discipline co-ordination during design / engineering.
  • Specify, select and purchase instrumentation and valves for gas processing equipment.
  • Ensure that the instrumentation and control systems will be functional prior to their departure from the shop.
  • Co-ordinate the work between office, shop and provide the assistance during the construction and commissioning.
  • Develop and review the P&IDs, cause & effect diagrams, control loop narratives, alarm & trip set point list.
  • Design, select and purchase instrument and controls equipment for assigned projects.
  • Perform the sizing calculations for the control valves, flow meters, PSVs, orifice plates, thermowells and level instruments.
  • Create and maintain instrument index, datasheets, pneumatic & impulse hook-up drawings, I/O list.
  • Specify and select the pressure, level, flow, analytical instruments, and fire & gas detectors.
  • Read the process flow diagrams, heat & material balances, hazardous area classification drawings, plant and piping layouts, piping isometrics, vessels/process equipment datasheets etc.
  • Calculate the power / air consumption and other required utility for instrument design.
  • Calibrate, trouble shoot and test the instruments and actuated valves.
  • Provide the technical assistance to other disciplines in Instrumentation point of view.
  • Ensure that vendor proposals and technical documents meet project specification.
  • Design and configure graphical interfaces, control hardware and logic for factory acceptance tests.



  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a mid-sized fabrication company would be an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a designer/Engineer in Oil & Gas Industry.

Job Title: Journeyman Millwright/Electrician (Maintenance)

Our Client manufactures retail fluid products for the household and automotive markets.  The Maintenance Millwright/Electrician is responsible for the mechanical, electrical, and automation maintenance of all plant operating equipment.  Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant environment is critical, and the successful candidate will have maintained production lines with equipment including: conveyors, mixers, blow-mold injection, packaging, PLC and Automation controls, tank farm, etc.

Position Summary:

The role of an Applications Engineer is to support the completion of proposals and assist with the engineering and design on projects for oil & gas related processing equipment.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Begin development of required industry skills while working with a Senior Process Engineer in a mentoring environment.

  • Estimates for package components including pressure vessels, piping including associated instrumentation and controls, structural steel, and assembly estimates.

  • Determination of and including in the estimates necessary NDE and associated costs.

  • Prepare and compile the entire proposal that will be presented to the customer.
  • Work closely with GM, Business Development, and sales for proposal guidance.
  • Complete bid pre-qualifications as assigned.

  • Update pricing in spreadsheets regularly used as an estimating tool.

Reporting to the Operations Superintendent, the Supervisor is responsible for driving safety, production and quality in the Sawmill. The Supervisor ensures that objectives for production are met on a consistent basis, coordinates production with maintenance and clean up schedules, manages performance, provides guidance and communicates effectively with all employees on the shift.

This position forms a key part of our leadership team and will collaborate within the immediate team and across the organization to safely deliver the required results and meet high performance and quality standards.

Candidates must have a firm and steadfast commitment to the Occupational Health and Safety Program and to assuring the quality of our products. Key Responsibilities:

  • Create P&ID’s from Application Engineering preliminaries
  • Prepare 2D/3D Design including GA’s of Pressure Vessels, Process Piping and Structural Steel Skids
  • Prepare fabrication drawings for review, approval and shop use

The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for the full execution of projects from inception through to completion, ensuring projects run smoothly, on time and on budget, and that the customer is fully satisfied with the results. Your challenges:
You are responsible for the leadership of the daily maintenance activities for the business unit assigned which includes OSB, lumber, or power. You will also provide guidance and expertise to the Site Maintenance team in the development and implementation of maintenance programs to ensure that overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) meets or exceeds established maintenance targets.
Your primary responsibilities will include the following:
  • Plan, schedule and coordinate maintenance activities, organize shutdowns and other major tasks;
  • Maintain liaison between the operations and maintenance departments;
  • Utilize the Maintenance & Supply Chain Best Practices in conjunction with the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for processing work orders, purchase requisitions,  weekly schedules, PM's, and updating the equipment database;
